Start card und race material

Start Card

We will send you your Start Card and all important information about your participation by e-mail on December 29th.

You can also find your bib number in your user account.

Race material pick up

NEW: You can pick up your race material on the day of the event (31.12.) from 10:00 am in front of the Mommsenstadion. Please make sure you are there on time. You will need your photo ID and Start Card to collect your race material.

Bib number

Your bib number is personal and may not be changed or passed on. The number must be worn clearly visible on your chest during the race.

Start and finish area

The start and finish area of the Berlin New Year's Eve Run is located in the near area of the Mommsenstadion (Waldschulallee 34, 14055 Berlin).

Courses

Starting close to the Mommsenstadion three different distances (4k, 6k, 10k) guide you through the Grunewald.

Course Maps

Heads up: It’s going uphill! The 6 km course takes you over Teufelsberg, while the 10 km course even goes over both Teufelsberg and Drachenberg. You read that right, two actual hills right in the middle of Berlin. If you’re thinking of gentle slopes, think again. So hang in there, at least there’s a great view at the top (and maybe a quick chance to catch your breath).

Timekeeping and time limit

Timekeeping is done with a transponder, which is attached to the back of your race number. To ensure the functionality of the transponder, the race number must not be bent or damaged in any other way. The time is measured as usual by running over the measuring mats at the start and finish. As this is a “disposable transponder”, there is no need to return it.

The time limit is 1:30 h after crossing the start line.

Refreshments

Water, tea and the long-awaited “Pfannkuchen” await all participants in the finish area.

Reusable Cup

This year we only use reusable cups to supply participants.
Therefore, please use only ONE reusable cup and have it refilled. Please return your cup at the refreshment station or in the green, labelled return bins.

Medals, certificates and results

A medal awaits all finishers at the finish line. Furthermore, there will be “Pfannkuchen” (Berlin donut) for you in the finisher area.

The results will be available online on the evening of the event. You can also download your finisher certificate from the results list.

Award ceremony

Runs

Prizes will be awarded to places 1-3 (male and female) in the 6 and 10 km races.

Most original costumes

There will also be an award for the most original costumes worn by children and adults.

All participants who want to take part in this competition must be at the photo wall in front of the Mommsenstadion at 11:30 am. Our jury will make the pre-selection there and inform the winners about the further procedure.

Important: Only costumed participants who appear on site for the selection can be judged.

There will be no supervised clothing drop-off.

Showers will not be available.
